Lord Glitters landed his second career Group 1 at Meydan on Saturday. Ridden by Danny Tudhope, Lord Glitters finished with customary late charge to lead within the final 50 yards. The victory is the popular grey’s second victory in Dubai this winter and he has now amassed over £1.7million in prize money. Trainer David O’Meara described the 8 year old as ‘The horse of lifetime’ following his success.

It was an emotional victory as Lord Glitters was bought by Jason Kelly Bloodstock in July 2017 on behalf of Geoff and Sandra Turnbull of Elwick Stud, was winning his first Group 1 since Geoff’s passing in 2020. The next target for Lord Glitters will now be the $4 million Dubai Turf on March 27th as he hopes to add to both his own and his owner’s legacy.
